I wanted to calculate which literary genre I read the most, drawing up a small ranking. I honestly don't know what causes the fact that I read much more of a certain genre rather than another. I left out some genres in the list, of which I have only read one or two books. But I like all the ten I've included. I'm more inclined to believe that I haven't found books that intrigued me enough to buy them. Top five favorite literary genres 25% fantasy 20% classics 13% narrative 8.5% detective stories and espionage 7.4% historical novels From this first list it seems that I really love fantasy .
And it's true, I certainly don't deny it. Even a quarter of the books I read belong to the fantasy genre. The fact is that I often feel the need to totally escape from reality and fantasy, for me, remains the only island in which to take refuge and spend some time. Then I see a consistent interest in the classics . But this is normal, the classics never fade. A fifth of the Special Data books read are classics. And I still have many to read. Even if sometimes a classic can take you out of reality, I, loving writing, see it more as a must-read to learn. Then follows the narrative . But what exactly is narrative? I often ask myself this. Even a classic and a fantasy are fiction.
In fact it is not a real literary genre. I have included in this list novels that are not otherwise classifiable or that I have not been able to classify. Finally come the detective and spy novels , followed by the historical ones . Other favorite literary genres 6.8% science fiction 4.3% horror-thriller 3.7% history 3.4% adventure 2.5% documents-diaries Not far away is science fiction , a genre that attracts me a lot. I've read a lot of Asimov and some other authors. The horror genre is one of my favorites, but I found very little interesting, although I have discovered good books lately.
